Harry Potter a l'Ecole des Sorciers (French Language Edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone)

My Jaw Dropped
My first reaction to J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter a l'ecole des sorciers was speechlessness. I had no idea that any book could be so wonderful. I'll admit that I found the first few chapters a bit dull. They were necessary, though, because they explained Harry's background and brought you up to the current state of affairs. The rest of the book made up for any lack of excitement in the preceding chapters. After I finished the book for the fourth time, I went out and bought the second installment in the series, then the third etc. I give this book five stars, and my personal recommendation to anyone looking for a good read.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone: Selected Themes from the Motion Picture

Just like the soundtrack!!!
This music is beautifully written for piano. It sounds exactly like the soundtrack. You could even play along with the soundtrack if you wanted to. It includes Diagon Alley, Family Portrait, Harry's Wonderous World, Hedwig's Theme, Quidditch, Voldemort, Fluffy's Harp, and Hogwart's Forever. Harry's Wonderous World is really fun to play and challenging. This book also comes with some pictures in the front, which I thought was kind of neat. But well, I love the soundtrack to death and playing it on the piano makes it seem even more magical to me. You will not regret buying this!!

Encantoso!
Spanish language version of the first pf the phenomenal Harry Potter series. An English lad embarks upon a life of magic and wizardry in a special school dedicated to that end. A fabulous read, it not only holds one's attention, but at the same time greatly enhanced my grasp of Spanish. It serves to entertain while reinforcing Spanish language skills. I recommend it to children of all ages who have any background in Spanish.

The Absolute Reference
For the absolute die-hard fan this book cannot be replaced. It details the recordings the Stones made right down to the recording sessions and which records (including boolegs) they appeared on.

While this book is not one to be read from cover to cover, it does provide every piece of information you could ever need. I just used it to settle a bet as to whether "Honky Tonk Women" or "Country Honk" was released first. I won.

Heart of Stones
Published in Paperback by Gardenia Press (June, 2003)
Author: Lanna Richards
Average review score:

Timeless Classic
Lanna Richards has brought the pre-Civil War town of Scottsville Mississippi to life in her novel, Heart of Stones. She will draw you into the trials and tribulations of the Sullivan family with her descriptive views of the family's turmoil.
Each character is well defined and easy to love individually, combined they are a dynamic mixture of dreams, loves, deception and triumph. The endurance of Abe and Sarah Sullivan's love, keep their family together through the perils of plantation life. Their unique relationship with "the darkies" on their plantation, show a tenderness of humanity, contradicting society's view of slavery. Even a love story so pure can have complications.
The children are clearly defined by different personalities, each with their own flaws and weakness'. This story explores an emotional level of love that so many people don't have the privilege of experiencing.
I loved this novel and look forward to checking out additional work by this author. Way to go Lanna!

A gift for readers
Heart of Stones is a powerful story about love and friendship that transcends time and race. Through the lyrical prose of the author, Lanna Richards, this novel will tug at your heartstrings and take you into another world, another time. This is one of those rare books you can't put down, and the emotional story will stay with you long after you've reached the last page.

Lanna Richards is a talented author, who like a true southern lady, has graciously shared her exquisite debut novel for the world to read.
